Springtime Finds

Wow, "time is a jet!"  I can't believe it's already July & my last post was for Easter.  I've been keeping busy over the past few months & coming across lots of great Philadelphia venues & event nuggets in my travels, so I'll catch you up with my discoveries starting with my Springtime Finds.

In April I had a great time volunteering some of my time to the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce to assist with setup for the Annual Cherry Blossom Festival's Sakura Sunday celebration. Setup was a breeze & it was a beautiful day so I had a wonderful time exploring the celebration and scenery once I had finished my duties.

The grounds of the Horticulture Center are absolutely gorgeous and the perfect setting for a garden party or wedding. There are also options for indoor ceremonies & functions http://www.weddings-delval.com/horticulturecenter/.

While walking the grounds I came across the Pavilion in the Trees: a treehouse like structure 24 feet above ground.

I'm sure that space could serve as an exceptionally unique setting for the Adventurous Couple looking to host a small but Unforgettable wedding surrounded by nature! The West Fairmount Park area that holds the Horticulture Center & Pavillion in the Trees is also home to the Shofuso Japanese House & Garden a gorgeous oasis reflecting the beauty & tranquility of Japanese culture.

The Shofuso Japanese House & Garden is another hidden gem that's a perfect location for a wedding or other garden event.  It was actually the setting for a proposal on Sakura Sunday! Congrats & Best Wishes to the Happy Couple! Shofusu Proposal

In May I had the opportunity to volunteer my services to assist with setup once again for Philadelphia's Annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.  As usual, setup was a breeze and I had a great excuse to wander around the Art Museum area on a fabulous spring day once all the work was done.

The Art Museum Sculpture Garden, outdoor space of the Waterworks Restaurant, Azalea Garden & Waterworks Fountain area are fabulous outdoor venues for springtime events. Contact me if you need more info on any of the venues mentioned and/or help setting up your event! :)
